The Isle of Frisland on Zeno Map (1380) is Real!

Hi Friends–

Regarding: the so-called “fantasy isle” of Frisland on the Zeno Map of 1380:

Prince Henry Sinclair’s legacy as a New World voyager, savior of 4,000 stranded Greenland farmers, and pirate-fighter has been held hostage by doctrinaire historians who have claimed that the Zeno Narrative and Map are “a Venetian-sponsored hoax.” Academic scholars, loyal to their antiquated Padigm, have insisted for eons that a prominent isle on the map, Frisland, “never existed” – except in the fictional musings of Nicolò Zeno (the Younger – a Venetian Senator) in the 16th century. He has been wrongly accused of inventing the “hoax” – although his reconstruction of events from memory did have some significant “lapses.” These difficulties were augmented with a little “literary license,” in places, that resulted in ultimately compromising the integrity of Gian Ramusio’s publication in Viaggi in 1558.

I noticed that three ancient maps (the Zeno 1380, Catalan 1480, and Prunes 1553) all had similar – but not identical – coastlines for Frisland. On the Catalan and Prunes Maps, the title is spelled Fixland – where the “x” was probably pronounced as “sh.” This would yield an English title of “Fish-land.”

Frisland is Real maps

Newfoundland was known as the principal isle of codfish from the 14th century up to modern times. The Portuguese and Basques called the Island bacalaos – which was the Portuguese-Basque word for “codfish.”

Review of : BEFORE COLUMBUS : The New History of Celtic, Egyptian, Phoenician, Viking, Black African And Asian Contacts and Impacts in the Americas Before 1492 By Dr. Samuel D. Marble

The subtitle is “The New History of Celtic, Egyptian, Phoenician, Viking, Black African, and Asian Contacts and Impacts in the Americas before 1492”. Be sure to read my short bio of Dr. Marble at the end of this article.

A number of “Before Columbus” books have been written since the cultural ice-breaking books by Barry Fell and others in the sixties and seventies. Each surveyed the then known repositories of pre-Columbian evidence and added the evidence privy to the author, plus their opinion and insight on it all. Dr. Marble’s wonderful book is no less than these others but stands out with his extensive knowledge of Celtic and Christian influences in the new world, especially in the Incan society, and some little known but revealing details of the Columbus voyages and influences of the Egyptians and the Vikings.

Ancient Lime Kiln found at Newport, RI

I have identified the so-called “foundation structure” of the Newport Grant House as a lime kiln on the basis of two vents in the north and south sections that nobody else has seemed to notice. It was the opinion of historian James Isham (1895) that the Old Stone Tower had to be a Colonial windmill on the basis of his belief that the foundation of the Grant House had mortar and arches with triangular keystones — just like the Newport Tower; and the Colonial Grant House was built circa 1670. Therefore, the Old Stone Tower had to have been built at the same time. My investigation of the photographic archive clearly indicates that there were three sections of an ancient lime kiln; and these are out of alignment with the later Colonial House. Also, Isham noted that Colonial builders often reused abandoned foundations from earlier structures. Prior to my research, nobody has found the industrial-grade lime kiln that was needed to produce lime mortar from oyster shells in sufficient amounts to provide the five tons of lime mortar that was needed to erect the forty-ton Stone Tower. This kiln would appear to be the missing kiln. Anyway, news of this development might provoke a renewed look at the evidence.

Lenape

by, Myron Paine, Ph.D.
NORSE CATHOLICS
have been in America
for 1,000 years.
Myron Paine has devoted 14 years of research to Norse Catholics in America.  He started by making a hypothesis:
During the Little Ice Age ancestors of the Lenape-speaking people walked, en masse, on the ice from Norse Greenland to Merica.
When the evidence he found became overwhelmingly positive he created a research orientated web site called Frozen Trail to America.  Then he wrote a pair of books by the same name.  Unlike many other books, these books have a high resale value.
During his research Paine recognized the oldest history in America.  The Lenape history tells of a 4,000 mile migration that took 150 years.  Paine created a blog, The LENAPE EPIC,  to tell the migration story.
As he deciphered the LENAPE HISTORY, Paine realized that the history shared episodes with the VIKING WATERWAY in western Minnesota.  He created a research blog about the waterway.
During that research Steve Hilgren made a hypothesis that the “Vinland of west” on the Kensington rune stone was really western Minnesota.  The LENAPE word “Wynland” describes land in western Minnesota. So Paine created another educational Blog, WYNLAND of WEST.  On September 28, 1213, he and Karl Hoenke took a bus load of people to look at the evidence.  When they knew the story, two people on the bus recognized other evidence of Norse presence in western Minnesota.
As the research evidence became more convincing Paine created yet another blog: the PARADIGM SHIFT.  He advocates that the paradigm shift has already begun.  When viewers look at the evidence on his web site and the five blogs, they, too, will realize that the Norse Catholics have been trying to live in peace in North America for a thousand years.
The “Columbus was first” paradigm, along with “pagan savages“paradigm, were employed by the 17th century English to cover up and erase their horrendous acts against humanity.  The 17th century English profoundly distorted the American history, which is taught in our schools to this day.
